【本日の五月祭の中止に関して】

五月祭は本日（5月16日（土））の全企画の実行を中止いたしました。

本郷・弥生キャンパスの各所に爆弾を仕掛け、五月祭期間中に爆破する等の犯行予告メールが、弊委員会及び特定の企画団体に対してあったことを受け、五月祭の運営に責任を有する者として、大学および警察とも協議した上で慎重に検討した結果、来場者、企画構成員ならびに委員の安全を確保することが困難であると判断したため、本日の全企画の実行中止を決定いたしました。

弊委員会は、大学との連携の下、キャンパスの安全確認を徹底する措置を講じた上での明日の五月祭の再開を検討しています。

本学学生の自主的な学術文化活動の場である五月祭が、このような経緯により中止されることに、強い遺憾の意を表明します。企画構成員の皆様、来場者の皆様、学内関係者の皆様、協賛・賛助いただいた皆様、五月祭の実施に協力していただいた方々におかれましては、多大なるご迷惑をおかけしてしまい、申し訳ございません。

明日の五月祭の再開可否、および今回の事実関係の確認やそれを踏まえた対応につきましては、追って公表いたします。

当の本人達は、当時格ゲーが下火になる中若いプレイヤーも減っていて周りで格ゲーを触る学校の友達などもいなく、近い世代の格ゲー仲間が欲しい！ちょっとプロに教えてもらえる！ぐらいの気持ちがもしかしたら大きかったかもしれません。

自分はその時、同い年だけど性格やゲームの攻略なども全然違う2人がお互いを刺激し合ってライバルのような関係で切磋琢磨してくれたら良いなぁ、将来大きい舞台で彼らの決勝とかになったらもう本望だなぁなんて夢見てたけどまた１つ夢が叶いましたね。
